Video from the Scranton, Pa., newspaper

The Times-Tribune in Scranton, Pa. (daily circ. 55,000), has been posting a fair amount of video online. What’s more, they have been posting it to Blip.tv as well as their own Web site. It’s very local stuff — check out this flood coverage from a few months ago.

Found via an article about Blip.tv courting the vloggers, at Red Herring.

Update: The Washington Post today proclaims:

… if last year was the year of the rogue videographers, the already-underway 2008 presidential campaign is likely to be remembered as the point where Web video became central to the communications strategy of every serious presidential candidate.

Yes, the fun is just beginning!

The video player on their site is interesting. When the videos play on blip.tv though, the quality is aweful! It looks fine on the paper’s on site.

if you look closely, you’ll note that the same file is being played on the blip.tv site and the times-tribune site.
