How to shoot decent video

Chuck Fadely has posted a very straightforward how-to about shooting video.

It is perfect for print reporters and photojournalists who are just getting started.

Everything he lists is geared toward giving the video editor decent material to work with. You know the saying “Garbage in, garbage out”? Uh-huh. That’s what he’s talking about. If you shoot garbage, your editor cannot save it. You can’t squeeze blood out of a stone.

Enough cliches for today! Go learn something from Chuck. His own videos for the Miami Herald are here.
